Aqeel Muften Forms New Interim Administrative Board for Al-Minaa Club Headed by Basra Governor

Iraqi National Olympic Committee President Aqeel Muften issued an administrative order on Saturday establishing a new interim administrative board for Al-Minaa Sports Club, headed by Basra Governor Asaad Al-Eidani.

The decision cancels the previous administrative order No. (121/A), issued on May 25, 2026, which dissolved the club’s administrative board and appointed a temporary committee to manage its affairs.

Under the new order, the interim board will be responsible for managing the club’s day-to-day operations and preparing for elections to select a new permanent administrative board. The elections are to be held within a maximum period of three months, in accordance with Article 14/First of the amended Sports Clubs Law No. 18 of 1986.
