Amr Diab Extends Guinness World Record to 69 Weeks at No. 1

Egyptian singer Amr Diab has further strengthened his presence on global music charts, reaching a total of 69 weeks at No. 1 on the Artist 100 chart, according to the record documented by Guinness World Records.

The record documentation began after Diab reached 64 weeks at the top of the chart through May 30, 2026. He subsequently returned to the No. 1 position for another five weeks, bringing his overall total to 69 weeks when the Guinness title was officially announced.

His time at the top was spread across six separate periods dating back to January 13, 2024. One of those runs lasted 36 consecutive weeks, beginning on April 12, 2025. His most recent return to the top also coincided with the release of his album “Habeetak” during the summer of 2026.

Diab had reached 66 weeks at the top of the chart in July before continuing to add more weeks to his record in the following period.

Speaking after receiving his Guinness World Records plaque, Diab credited his achievement to his audience, emphasizing the importance of listeners’ engagement with his music and his continued efforts to develop his sound and explore different musical styles.

His presence extends beyond the Artist 100 chart. His song “Baba” topped the Billboard Arabia Hot 100 for eight non-consecutive weeks in 2025.

Diab has also remained on the Artist 100 chart since its launch in December 2023, making him one of only six artists to have appeared on the chart throughout its first 128 weeks.

He currently ranks second on the Artist 100, with 69 weeks at No. 1 and 145 weeks overall on the chart, adding another achievement to his Guinness World Records history and his decades-long music career.
