Al-Zeidi Discusses Expanding Iraq’s Cooperation with Global Banks
Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zeidi held talks on Monday with Rothschild Bank Chairman Édouard de Rothschild on ways to expand cooperation between Iraq and international banking and financial institutions.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office, Al-Zeidi received de Rothschild at his residence in Paris, where the two discussed the government’s efforts to develop Iraq’s banking sector and strengthen its engagement with global financial institutions.
The meeting also addressed efforts to improve Iraq’s credit rating and the government’s plans to establish a strong and diversified economy.
De Rothschild, for his part, highlighted the investment opportunities available in Iraq and the potential for international financial institutions to contribute to the country’s development plans.
