Al-Zeidi Calls for Faster Approval of Development-Related Laws
Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Zeidi stressed the importance of the Reconstruction and Development bloc, describing it as the largest parliamentary bloc in the Council of Representatives.
He made the remarks during a meeting with a delegation from the bloc, headed by Bahaa Al-Araji, to discuss bills that require expedited approval by parliament.
Al-Zeidi said 44 bills were considered particularly important, including legislation on the Food and Drug Authority, the Popular Mobilization Forces and internal oversight. He emphasized that rebuilding the country depends on laws that support development.
