Al-Sudani, Egyptian Ambassador Discuss Iraqi Oil Supplies and Industrial Partnerships

The head of the Construction and Development Coalition, Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani, held talks with Egyptian Ambassador to Iraq Ahmed Khafaja on the possibility of establishing partnerships to transport Iraqi crude oil to Egypt for use in petrochemical plants, while expanding industrial cooperation between the two countries.

Al-Sudani noted that the second and third sessions of the Iraq-Egypt Higher Joint Committee, held in Cairo in 2023 and Baghdad in 2025, resulted in the signing of several cooperation documents between the two countries.

He also expressed his support for the current government’s efforts to build on the agreements already reached and maintain the momentum of bilateral relations.
