Al-Sadr urges supporters to exercise restraint and avoid being drawn into tensions
Sadrist movement leader Muqtada al-Sadr sent a message to his supporters, relayed by his close associate Saleh Mohammed al-Iraqi, calling on them to remain calm, exercise restraint and avoid responding to provocations or being drawn into unrest.
Al-Sadr warned of attempts by unnamed parties to fuel tensions and cover up their misconduct. He stressed the importance of preserving Iraq’s unity and refusing to support corrupt or aggressive elements targeting the country’s security and stability, urging his followers to leave troublemakers to their actions without being drawn into confrontation.
