Al-Hakim: Weapons Outside State Control Must Be Addressed Through Dialogue

Head of the National Wisdom Movement Ammar al-Hakim described the issue of weapons outside state control as a challenge that should be addressed through dialogue and mutual understanding, while prioritizing Iraq’s national interests over particular interests.

Speaking during a meeting of the Wisdom Movement’s advisory body, al-Hakim stressed the importance of Iraq strengthening its engagement with its regional and international surroundings in a way that safeguards the country’s interests and sovereignty. He also called on political forces to expedite the resolution of the remaining political entitlements, allowing the government to fulfill its commitments and advance its development and economic programs.
