Al-Baldawi: Al-Zaidi’s European Visit Aims to Attract Investment and Expand Iraq’s Economic Partnerships

The spokesperson for the Sadiqoun parliamentary bloc, Mohammed Al-Baldawi, said Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi’s visit to several European countries represents an important step toward opening new economic opportunities for Iraq and attracting foreign investment companies.

Al-Baldawi said the visit will focus on strategic agreements and projects in the fields of defense, energy and oil, in addition to industrial, commercial and investment sectors. He stressed the importance of Iraq’s openness to countries around the world and the diversification of its international relations.

He added that Iraq has an opportunity to restore its pivotal role in the region, noting that the completion of the Grand Faw Port and Development Road, alongside the end of the war, would strengthen Iraq’s position as a major economic hub connecting Eastern and Western markets and facilitating trade and investment.
